Fathers Day

Fathers Day was so very special this year because we got to spend it with my Dad!

Too much time passes between when we get to see my Mom and Dad, but when Jaydon sees either of them, it's as if no time has passed. We all had a fantastic time and, as always, it was hard to say goodbye. Jay was quick to say that he wanted to go back to Florida with Grandpa. Our next visit can't come soon enough.

As fate would have it, we were able to drive down to New Jersey to visit with him, along with my Uncle Lindo, Auntie Annabelle, Auntie Elena, and Cousins Brianna, Abigail, Arvin, Adrienne, and Andre.

While there, Jay had a blast playing with my cousins, Abby and Brianna, who are much closer in age to him than they are to me. They did all kinds of fun stuff. It was a riot hearing them giggle and laugh as they all played Hide and Seek.

This trip was special in another way. It was the first time I've ever met my cousins Adrian and Andre, who just recently moved here from the Philippines. Here they are with their big brother Arvin.

Somehow my Auntie Elena escaped a picture. I'll definitely catch her next time. I did get a picture of Uncle Lindo and Auntie Annabelle.

Another interesting note - we went for a walk one day and Jaydon opted to ride rather than walk. He borrowed a tricycle from the cousins. It was small for him, but he didn't mind. He pedaled his way all along our walk and loved every minute of it. Pedaling is something relatively new for him and this was the first time he's ever gone on an extended "ride" before.
