The first color Jaydon knew and could say was "ye-yo". If you asked him what color something was, it was "ye-yo". It's fair to say now, many many many months later, that his favorite color is yellow, at least when it comes to fashion choices. Example - this is a conversation we had yesterday morning:
Mom: "Jaydon, it's time to get ready for Music Class, let's put on a long sleeve shirt."
Jaydon: "Wear yellow shirt." (He was already wearing a yellow t-shirt). "Wear this one."
Mom: "It's cold outside. You also need to wear a long sleeve shirt."
Jaydon: "Wear yellow shirt" (running away as Mom tries to catch him to put on a long sleeve shirt).
Mom: "You can wear the yellow shirt, but you have to wear a long sleeve shirt too because it's very cold outside."
Jaydon: "Wear yellow shirt. "
Mom: (After catching Jaydon and attempting to put on his long sleeve shirt), "It's time to put on your long sleeve shirt."
Jaydon: (Now on the verge of tears and holding down his yellow shirt). "Wear this one."
Mom: "We'll put your long sleeve shirt on first and the yellow shirt second - on top." (After much struggling, mission accomplished. Jaydon was satisfied with the outcome - whew!)
Another Jaydon fashion pick - If given a choice, he must wear his snowboots. If not given a choice, he still only wants to wear his snowboots. They are blue.
One more thing...Jaydon's book of choice now is "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and no longer "Dr. Suess's ABC's".
