Something relatively new for Jaydon is that he's been very loving and interactive with his stuffed animals. As I mentioned in a previous blog, Tigger and Snoopy are his naptime and bedtime companions now (they've officially replaced the big tractors). Over the past few days, we've added a big polar bear, a little polar bear, a blue teddy bear, a little koala, Clifford, Elmo, and a little plastic frog as sleeping buddies. We hear him in his crib, while he's alone, saying things like, "Jaydon give polar bear BIG hug" or "Jaydon give Snoopy kisses" and he makes observations like "Tigger has a big nose", "Tigger has little eyes", or "Tigger is so soft". He usually takes one or two of the animals wherever he goes. They sit with him on the couch, all lined up just so. They read books with him. They sit in his lap. He sits in their laps. He pretends to give them things to drink and eat. When he gets hurt, they kiss his boo boos and vice versa. He gives them hugs all the time. Sometimes they even get diaper changes.
Here's Jaydon in the morning, in his crib, with some of his animals. Notice the two tractors beneath the crib (they're the ones he used to sleep with).
