Nana Visit

Nana came for a visit this weekend and we had a wonderful time! Immediately after she arrived, Jaydon was right by her side, playing with her and engaging her in thoughtful conversation. We can't decide who wore out who - Nana or Jaydon - because while Nana was here, the fun didn't stop. When Jaydon wasn't riding on Nana, he mostly played "roll the ball back and forth" with her. Nana also taught Jaydon how to draw a new type of waterfall. Previously Jaydon would draw straight lines down the page and call it a waterfall. Jaydon's new waterfall pictures are comprised of squiggly lines down the page (and lots of them). They're beautiful! Thanks, Nana!

Jaydon was excited to show Nana the dinosaurs and turtles at the Childrens Museum, so we made a trip there one day. We also attended a Winnie the Pooh Festival, which included crafts, games, a short movie (Jaydon's first big screen movie and first Pooh movie) and a visit by Tigger and Pooh. You can't tell from the photo below, but Jaydon was happy and curious seeing Tigger and Pooh. He was really drawn to Tigger, since he has a big stuffed Tigger at home. As a sidenote, Jaydon has been sleeping with his stuffed Tigger and stuffed Snoopy every night since then - it's really cute. He puts his head on Tigger and has Snoopy sleep next to him. When we put a blanket on Jaydon, he makes sure Snoopy is covered too.

We brought Nana to the airport this morning. On the drive, Jaydon insisted that Nana sit with him in the backseat (although the front passenger seat was available). We were sad to say goodbye. Jaydon was also sad because he couldn't go on an airplane too. In fact, since we've been back from Orlando, Jaydon's asked to fly on an airplane just about every day. We'll have to wait until July before we fly again. We'll be going to Kentucky to celebrate Granddad Schuler's 90th Birthday and visit Nana and Pops!
