I missed the speech made by Barack Obama last night, so I went online today to listen to it (the internet rocks!). Jay sat on my lap quietly and watched the entire speech with me...all 18 minutes 10 seconds of it. When it was all over, Jay said, "Watch Obama again!"
I couldn't resist scrolling through all the other video clips to see if there were any I would like to watch (there were A LOT!). All the while, my impatient Jay kept saying to me, "Watch Obama, Mom. Watch Obama again."
Barack Obama is compelling even to my two-year-old!
Jay also accompanied me to the polls yesterday. When we were done voting, he was so happy announcing to people that we had "ROCKED THE VOTE!" He's probably too young to remember any this, but it sure is cool that he and I got to be a part of such a momentous occasion in our nation's history.
