Here is yet another example of how grown up Jaydon is. Three seems to be a magical age for him...
Without us having to tell him, Jaydon whispered all through Christmas Mass and New Years Mass. He didn't talk very much during church, it's just that when he did it was in a whisper! In the past, we've had to remind him to whisper. He would whisper a few times, then he would slip back into a regular voice. Then we would remind him again. Whispering all through church without us having to tell/remind him seems HUGE!
It used to be that in church Jaydon was most anxious to "take a walk" (aka "Communion" time). But recently he's been "into" just about all aspects of church. He loves the songs. He kneels when everyone else is (maybe not the whole time everyone is, but for at least a portion of it). He wants to see what's going on at the alter. He always finds new and interesting things in church to look at. He loves it when we shake hands for our "Peace be with you". And he really likes Father Chuck (our local priest). He loves to shake his hand on our way out. Similarly, he was so happy to shake Father Dirk and Father Cooney's hand at Grandpa and Grandma's church in Florida. Generally, he just seems to like meeting and greeting people, and he's happy striking up a conversation with anyone who seems interested.
PS. We returned home to Connecticut from Florida on January 4th.
