The Spray Park

June was a tough month. It didn't feel much like summer with all the rain we had and the cool temps. The beginning of July brought much of the same, but we managed to hail July with a trip to the Colchester Spray Park. We drove through some rain on our trip over. It was overcast when we pulled into the parking lot. There was a slight breeze in the air. What to do? After some hesitation, I decided to let Jaydon loose. After all, his friends Anne, Reilly, and Cooper had already taken the plunge. The not exactly ideal weather allowed the kids to have the whole place to themselves. They had a BLAST!

After awhile, the rain clouds burst, big raindrops fell from the sky, and we heard thunder in the distance. That's when we finally decided to call it quits. Fortunately for us, our friends Kurt, Anne and Kate have a minivan. We all piled in (three adults and five kids under the age of four) and had a picnic in the back of their minivan...all the while it poured and poured outside...good stuff!

This was Jaydon's (and my) first visit to a splash park...it certainly will not be our last!!! Rain, rain, stay away...
