Jewel and Henry graciously agreed to babysit Jaydon this past Saturday, while Brian and I attended the wedding of our friends, Jim and Jenn. It was the longest span of time I've ever been away from Jaydon, and I was so happy knowing he was in good (and familiar) hands. I only called three times :) to check-in and make sure everything was ok - which it was, of course! Thank you sooo much, Jewel and Henry! We had a fantastic time at the wedding and hope you had a great time with Jaydon. You've left a lasting impression on our boy. He's been talking about your visit and playing with you, and here's a little something else...
While Jewel and Henry were watching Jaydon, there was a thunderstorm, a rare occurrence where we live. Jaydon got scared. Jewel saved the day by telling him that it was just bowling pins being knocked over in the sky. That worked - it wasn't scary anymore. Whew!
Yesterday, while Jaydon and I were home, we heard a rumbling in the sky, then...
Jay says: What's that sound? It goes rumble rumble.
Me: It's a helicopter.
Jay: No. That's bowling pins.
It was a helicopter. He used to know what a helicopter sounded like. :)
